Feature Spotlight: Content Creator
DSID has multiple real-time integrations and advanced features to add depth to your digital signage presentations.
While DSID does provide affordable custom content development services, there may be times when you want to put something together yourself, or need a piece of content that requires daily adjustments. The Content Creator is the perfect tool for such scenarios. Common examples include congratulating contest winners, celebrating birthdays, showcasing before and after cases, or announcing a short-term promotion.
What is it?
The Content Creator is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that allows you to create your own static content anytime via your cloud-based Portal account.
Content Creator slides are static (no animation), but they allow you to add and compose images and text on a blank canvas to communicate your message. The color and style of the text can be changed, and image support includes both JPG and PNG. The Content Creator works in both landscape and portrait orientations, so no matter the layout of your presentation, this feature can work for you.
Over 400 professionally designed backgrounds are included to help elevate the aesthetic of your creations, covering 12 themes such as Holidays, Sports, Events, People, Abstract, and more, and which are easily incorporated with a simple click.
How does it work?
The Content Creator consists of a slide title, status and scheduling bar, toolbar, blank canvas area, and pre-made background gallery. You can upload images, add text, select a background, and then compose and style your design in the canvas area using your mouse cursor. Once satisfied, save your creation, then set it to active, or schedule it for a future date.
The ability to schedule means that you can set your content creations to automatically become active (visible) on a future date. Likewise, you can set them to become inactive after displaying for a certain period of time. Simply indicate the Starting and Ending dates. Or, manually activate or deactivate slides as needed.
The Content Creator can be accessed by logging in to your DSID Portal account. If you have any questions on using this feature, please contact our support team.
